Join us as Cory Hartman and Matt Johnson outline how best to use Excel to calculate bonus performance and payout amounts using a variety of examples, including how to figure prorated bonus targets for employees with mid-year promotions and pay changes, how to interpolate bonus performance to calculate payout percentages, and how to organize data for easy mail merges to generate employee statements.

Cory Hartman is a Lead Compensation Program Consultant with Nike and has been a part of TRPDX for the last two years as the Outreach Director. She has 12 years of experience with analysis using excel and found her home in compensation in 2020. Currently she is working in a compensation program design role and has experience with designing and implementing compensation programs. In her free time, she is training for her first ultra-marathon and loves to bake.
Matt Johnson
Senior Compensation Consultant
Microsoft
Matt Johnson is a Sr. Compensation Consultant with Microsoft and has been part of the Portland Compensation community for the last 20 years. He has experience running merit programs, administering annual bonus payment, sales incentive design, and just about everything else that Compensation professionals get asked to do. In his non-work time, Matt enjoys getting obscure questions right at pub trivia, and playing bass guitar in his 90s rock cover band.
